The club maintains the rustic Lundgren Cabin for use by members and their guests. The walls of the cabin are lined with posters advertising classic backpacking gear and seasonal native birds, old newspaper clippings featuring hikers and the club, and the calling cards of famous visitors to the cabin. Shelves hold wind up alarm clocks, stove fuel, and well-loved packs of playing cards - all for visitor use.
Located near the intersection of Lancaster Avenue north of Bethel, Pennsylvania (Pennsylvania Route 501) and the Appalachian Trail, the cabin offers the following amenities:
· Wood stove for heating;
· 4 bunks including mattresses;
· Tables and chairs (indoor and out);
· Stand alone privy;
· Private parking behind a secured gate;
· Gas stove for cooking;
· Pots, pans, and cooking utensils;
· Exterior dry sink;
· Fire pit; and,
· Heated outdoor shower.
The club keeps the woodshed stocked with plenty of wood for visitor use. Water is available at nearby Ludwig’s Brunne (Pilger Ruh) spring. Bottled, chlorinated water is also available.
